Special late session on 2021-2022 Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai eruption at Cities on Volcanoes 11

Special late session on 2021-2022 Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai eruption at Cities on Volcanoes 11

We have managed to arrange with the “Cities on Volcanoes 11” organisers to allow a special late abstract submission for any science regarding the 2021-2022 Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai eruption.

The presentations will only be e-posters, and abstract submissions will be due by May 17th (just a few weeks before the conference). CoV will be a great opportunity to present new research and response efforts from this event, which will lead to very valuable discussion for those researching and monitoring shallow/emergent volcanic systems.

I am just confirming with the organisers a later e-poster submission deadline than the current May 15th for the rest of the conference attendees.

To submit an abstract, please follow this special link for late abstracts: https://pcoconvin.eventsair.com/PresentationPortal/volcanoes11/submit-la

When choosing a session, please select: “S5.1 The 2021-2022 Hunga Tonga-Junga Ha’apai eruption: Research, response, and perspectives“.

Existing COV attendees can submit another abstract in this session, or it can be new attendees. Registration for virtual attendance can be found here: https://citiesonvolcanoes11.com/virtual-attendance/

Please pass this onto any colleagues or those you know involved in recent efforts regarding this eruption.
